Does anyone use creme press or curling wax in lieu of gel in order to maintain updo's, buns, ponytails, etc?

If so, how well does it work for you and what kind do you use?

Curling wax\pressing cream is very heavy. It seems like it would be very difficult to wash out without really stripping your hair. Never did it but those are my observations.

I dont use curling wax/pressing cream however i have tried Glam Traxx from Giovanni to help slick buns and ponytails down (it works really good on the bun portion). Its a great alternative that washes out a little easier. Glam traxx is like a styling wax that comes in that deordarant stick looking thingie.
