is there anyone here who uses a curling iron only once a week? have u experienced damage breakage dryness etc. from using it once a week? Do u think that it will cause major damage and is once a week too frequent?

I don't know what condition your hair is in now but I have relaxed 4a/b hair and hot curling everyday was a beast on my hair...I wouldn't recommend it even with a thermal protectant(especially if your hair is chemically treated)but occasionally touching up, like a strand or two isn't too bad.. hth...Rollersetting/w magnetic rollers is healthier and the set last alot longer..

i used to use a curling iron everyday, but now I limit it to once a week. I must admit the curls don't last, but I believe it's b/c I have "split ends galore." No need to worry though, they will be cut off this weekend! I agree with Aisha though...using a rollerset (if you can master the technique in doing one) will last longer and is less stress on the hair.

curling irons.. once a week.. yeah been there done it,DONT DO IT..lmao.. I use 2 curl my hair faithfully. going from almos everyday to keep it curled..to bringin it down to once maybe twice a week...and the result of that was .. cuttin my hair..

..I agree with Aisha... rollersetting works..

When I used to use a curling iron back in high school, I would use it almost every day so thats more than once a week and I didnt experience any damage, breakage, or dryness. But I think using them was the reason my hair stayed the same shoulder length all the time. It might have caused breakage without me even knowing
