Do you use preservatives? Do you use them as is? Reason I ask I was planning on placing another order with bestdeal.com for mango, avocado, and red palm butters and camelina oil. I want to know should I purchase t-50 as well to preserve them?

If I'm not:
-selling them
-adding any water based ingredient to them
then I don't add preservatives.

If I am mixing them with other water based ingredients, or planning to sell them to people, then I would add a preservative.

I would add GSE to oils to help retard rancidity if I was having that problem, but I keep them in a cool, dark place, and so far so good.

I'm no expert on preservatives though, so maybe one of the other mixtress' that actually sell product can provide better info.

I don't buy more than I'll use up in 6 months, so I've never added preservatives. Some butters, avocado, for example, have a shelf life of a year or more.

Thanks ladies! I'll leave the t-50 off the list for now because I certainly plan to use them up within the year. I'm not purchasing in huge amounts.

I have another question. For anyone who has purchased thru Camden Grey/Best Deal do they put the avocado butter, mango butter, red palm butter, cocoa butter in jars or ziploc bags? I noticed on their site they said some may be shipped in ziploc bags.

I purchased hempseed butter from them and it came in a jar but I also noticed that it was in a jar on the website description.
