hi as anyone notice creme of nature shampoo has sodium hydroxide in it. have any naturals use it on their hair and its changed their hair texture.i was going to use it but i don't think i will know.

I am not a natural but I noticed that too. I brought a bottle Friday, but plenty of ladies on here, who are natural, use it without any problems. Sorry I could not be much help but try doing a search on Creme of Nature and see what comes up.

I use it on my daughter's naturally kinky hair every two weeks, and her hair is still kinky. I think the amount must be so low that it has no effect.

The small amount of sodium hydroxide in Creme of Nature is only there to change the pH level of the product... there is also a bit of sodium hydroxide in my salicylic acid that I use on my face, for the same purpose.. so don't worry!

I haven't noticed any adverse effects from using it. It's definitely better for my hair than regular shampoo.
