I use the CON formulated for dry/damaged hair. It's the bottle with the green writing.

I use the ones in the red & bottle (pictured above) & the green & white bottle.

Hi and welcome to the board!

I use the one with the green writing on the bottle--though I am somewhat interested in the professional formula now. Sassygirl, tell me more about this!

Welcome to this wonderful board.... you'll get soooo much insight sweety!!!! I use Creme of Nature's Professional bottle and the one for dry hair (it's a green and white bottle)..... i love how soft it makes my hair.....

@ Supergirl:

I switched to the "Professional" formula because the others all listed sodium hydroxide in the ingredients (I understand now that sodium hydroxide is part of the soap making process). It also has similar ingredients to the old formula I was buying that came in a bright yellow bottle with green lettering that I couldn't find anymore. The professional formula was a little more "herby" than the others. A 32 oz bottle cost around $7 at Sally's last year.

Creme of Nature Professional Detangling Conditioning Shampoo Regular Formula for Normal Hair:

Water Aqua , Trideceth-7 Carboxylic Acid , Disodium Cocomphodiprpionate, Polyquaternium-10, Glycol Stearate, Aloe Extract, Hydrolyzed Milk Protein , Honey, Lemon Extract, Wheat Germ Oil, Balsam Canada, Pectin, Lecithin, Fennel Extract, Sage Extract, Yarrow Extract, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA , Methylparaben , Propylparaben , Quaternium-15 , Methylchloroisothiazolinone , Methylisothiazolinone , FD&C Red #4, FD&C Yellow #5, D&C Red #33.

It seems exactly the same to me. I just started using it again a few weeks ago as a 2nd lather shampoo to help with tangles.

I love this shampoo and it doesn't have SLS or SLES in it.
