Cowashing with LIMITED scalp access???

Does it clean the scalp or leave buildup?
I tried it once before going cg it didn't work.
Now I've been cg for a month and I love it
but I'm so scared to put in small twists or
braids because I think I'll have to take them
down without being able to scrub my scalp properly.
Anyone that does this who has an oily/flaky scalp?
How do you do it? How does it work? How long does your
style last?

What is cg?

I personally NEVER apply conditioner to my scalp. Conditioner Washing for me is a way to add moisture to my hair, not to clean my scalp or hair. I use shampoo to clean my hair and scalp. I have cowashed with twists in and my twists were nicely moisturized.

My belief is conditioner is meant to coat the hair and leave it smooth and protected. I believe the scalp would be left coated just the same and the thought just makes my scalp itch and feel icky. But there are many who happily use conditioner on their scalp so feel free to follow suit.

Having hair in twists (mini-twists) has never gotten in the way of me washing my scalp with shampoo so I don't know why you think they'd be in the way of you having access to your scalp. In fact, I can't think of a better way to get easy access to my scalp for cleaning than when wearing my hair in mini-twists or microbraids.

I cowash w/deep conditioner and shampooo scalp only w/diluted poo in color applicator bottle (long nozzle). Then rinse it all out
