Whats the verdict on daily cowashing?

You know, I do ACV rinses. I have severely hard water. I have wondered about the effect it has on hard water and if it is even effective on water as bad as mine. My hair has been very dry since I came back home and I attribute that to the water.

I contemplated that but decided against it for a couple of reasons.

then really try the rainwash... I am telling you it really works and you will love it. www.mehandi.com that little pack is enough for me to do 2x because I measure out with my own spoon and they always have more in the pack. doing this can cut out the shampoo all together.

I clicked on "on the fence" only because I would only do it every day if I felt like it, not like cowashing daily is written in stone as a part of my regimen so I have to do it. So if you feel like doing it everyday I dont think there is anything wrong with it. Just make sure you're keeping a protein moisture balance and you should be good.

I ve done it before and it in the long run it made my hair dry and caused shedding .
When you overdo it it can be damaging ,when the hair is wet its at its most fragile state so to actually keep it that way everyday it s probably not a good idea .
I shampoo and (sort of DC )every 2-3 days and that works great for my 3c hair .

I personally cannot co-wash daily because of the manipulation, tangles, and breakage from constant detangling. I do it two days a week for the most part and shampoo once a week.

I do it every other day (whenever I do it), with something thick like HE or Aussie. May start back nxt week once school is out.

I cowash err'day :3 My hair feels great and my scalp is very happy from all of the water. I feel that it has helped my hair a lot.

I feel like I Could do it every day....but I don't, because I'm lazy, and I just want to keep my hair in twists. But I really could, because I LOVE cowashing!

I tried co washing, my relaxed hair hated it, turned to mush...I'm sure some people have mastered daily co washing but I just think its too much... To much of anything can turn out to be a bad thing...just like with everything else there has to be a balance

i cowash daily except when I feel lazy!! i put my hair in 4 twist to do it! no problem with it!

Almost daily co-washer here! I love it. I bathe my body twice a day and don't think it is too much of a good thing, but that is just me. The key is to rotate in a conditioner with protein; I use a protein conditioner after every two co-washes with moisture.

I used to cw daily while I was relaxed and MBL, because my hair was straight and I could detangle easily with my fingers, and also didnt have tangles to worry about.

I loved it, but with all this thick natchal hair, I cant cw more than twice a week. Too much manipulation, plus ive gotten hair lazy in recent years...and being 9 wks preg I just cant summon the energy to mess with my hair daily and take care of my DD who is 3!

I do take time to moisturize, however, and that is every other day to every 2 days since I mainly bun (my hair retains the moisture well).
