Hi all, I hope this is not a silly question. I'm new here and I'm already learning so much, however there are 2 terms that I simply do not understand. What is a cowash and what is pooing? I keep reading about it in different threads and it seems like something I should be doing... Help me out someone?

you can find a thread @ the main page where everyone posts new threads and @ the top that says favorite stickies..... Will tell u everything u need to know... Good luck and WELCOME :)!

cowash = CO-wash = using Conditioner Only to shampoo your hair.

Thank you very much! It seems very obvious now that you've explained it! I will check out the links.

Wow, this forum is so friendly! :D

you're welcome and also - welcome to the forum.

lol @ the bold :giggle:

It's just that I've been to other forums where members pounce on you :axehunter: if you ask what they think is an obvious question. Gets to the point that you're afraid to even ask anything. It's a nice change here. :woot:

most of the ppl here are wonderful. around here we don't pounce, they just ignore the newbie/obvious posts. i try to answer them if i see them b/c i know the OP may not get any or little response at all.

i remember when i was new to hair boards and i would ask "newbie" questions and they go unanswered. believe me when i say i became a search function queen. but on this forum there is soooooo much info that i try to make it easy on new members and at least find some threads to start them off. basically, i try to do for new members what i wish ppl had done for me when i was new and seeking answers.

when it works, the search function here is really good. also, search the archives.
