Could I wear this hairstyle on a date?

So I was just playing around with my hair after I straightened my new growth with my miniglide...obviously that took forever, but I wanted to get as close to the scalp as possible. So anyway, I grabbed my barrette and twisted some pieces back and called it a day. So I'm wondering is this hair style too childish to wear on a date? Does it look to "virginal" for a lack of a better word. (For reference I'm 20, I know I look 16 :ohwell: I get that all the time. I have a young face, but I'll be the last one laughing when I'm 50 and I like 30! haha ) Does this hair style depend on the outfit I wear, like if I wear it with a Grecian versus a Herve Leger bandage dress. I watch that stupid Millionare Matchmaker show on Bravo, and Patti is super critical of the girls' hairstyles on dates.

No, it doesn't look childish it looks pretty and so are you! I would probably trim the ends in the back or curl it. But I love the 2 twisted pieces back in the clip. Very pretty.....so where ya goin'....who's the guy??

Please PLEASE do not go by Patti's advice.

If you like the style, then by all means feel free to wear it on a date. Virginal looking girls are the ones you take home to meet mom, right?

My niece is about to turn 18, and that is the main style I see her wearing, so no, I don't think it looks childish at all. I know a lot of older women who do that style as well. You have such a young face; you're right, you probably will be laughing when you are 50. ;)

Oh yeah I know I have ratty ends :wallbash:... I need a trim BIG time.... I just can't bare to get rid of the length... haha But I am getting a trim my next retouch! Anyway, no date planned for anytime soon. I'm just watching the millionaire matchmaker right now and Patti is talking bout ppl's hair again. lol

If you like it go for it.

I know how I am when I put my hair in style, I get really self conscious because I don't know if it still is placed the way it was before I left. So I personally would just wear it all down.

I agree with Patti's advice with coordinating the outfit with the hair if there is a certain look you are going for. I love that show! lol

thats a super cute style! i think it makes for good date hair b/c the front is out of your face and nothing is worse than your hair getting in the way of a good kiss

you have a pretty face, show it off!

Why not?, if you like it and it looks good on you (it does), then I say yes you could definitely wear it on a date or anytime you're out.

16!!! You look 12! I guess it's just that pic because you look older in your avatar. I think it's a pretty style for a pretty girl, you look great.

Yeah I have no make up on, wearing a bright pink sweater instead of a clubbing dress.... When I wear my protective styles (i.e. a bun or pony) I look even younger..... Plus I usually throw on jeans and a sweater and go to class, so that doesn't help... It takes too much effort to look old haha, I'm sure most people replace the word old with young.... Oh well I've stopped complaining about looking so young because I know when I get old I'm going to be complaining about looking so old. haha.

I watch that stupid Millionare Matchmaker show on Bravo, and Patti is a jerk when it coes to hair! I know she hates anything that's not flat ironed super straight.

Don't pay any attention to her weird-ways.

Its a cute style. If you like it then go for it.

I was just kidding with ya, you don't look 12, 16 is about right. I know how you feel, when I was college people always thought I was a lot younger than I was too. Like you said it pays off in the end. :yep:

Of course you can! It looks very nice. :yep:
I can see how a pink flowered sundress vs. "the little black dress" could make a difference though......do you!

Shoot is pays off in the middle...LOL! I'm 45 and people are always surprised...yeah I like it now, but didn't when I was a lot younger.

I like the hairstyle! The most important thing is if YOU feel good while wearing the rock it girl! Keep it real up front, don't change who you are for anybody but yourself.

wow, you look like Jennifer Hudson.

I think the style is cute, but I'd just curlt he ends or something or bun it

45?! From your siggy pic I would've guessed 22/23, yep that's right even your back has aged well lol. Only when you mentioned your daughter's age in another thread did I realize you weren't a teeny bopper!

I wouldn't. I think you would look much more attractive with a different hair style.

You look pretty.

Patti's hair is a mess (thick-*** tracks - too much fake hair for her face) AND she's not married.

She's just a bidge with an opinion.
