Cost of Microbraids?

Does anyone know what I should expect to pay for Microbraids? I'm willing to pay $200 to $250, but I've heard that they can sometimes cost $600

I think prices vary depending on which part of the country you are in. Sorry I don't know what the going price in CA is.

I too think it depends on what part of the country you're in and also who you go to. I live in NYC and you can go to African braiders who charge between $100-$150 (you bring your own hair) or you can go to a fancy salon like Khamit Kinks where you'll pay $200-$300 (they'll provide the hair). Personally I am wearing microbraids now (I am transitioning) and I went to the Africans to have it done and paid $100 and it was well done, not too tight.

Can you post pics of your microbraids? How long do you plan to keep them in?

In NC, you can go to places like african hair and braids and pay $200.00 for precise microbraids. They are done by 2 stylists and it takes about 6 hrs for them to finish.

yep, i live in NY, and i used to pay 120,for my micros in harlem

In MO, they can run anywhere from $150 - $300 depending on how thin they are and how much hair you have. However, there is this one girl, from Africa, who does them for $100 and she is always booked. I was going to have her do mine, but could never get an appointment. So, I just started cornrowing my own. I could do the micros myself, but it would probably take me too long since I like to stop and rest my arms.

I get individuals sometimes. Not micros just small individuals. My girl only charges $100. She works out of her house and most importantly, she doesn't braid too tight. I'm in L.A, CA by the way.
