Ok ,I have been reading around and I found out the oil is not a moisturizer... but a sealant. If this is correct they why do we do Hot oil treatments????????
As far as the hot treatments go, I won't add anything because all I can offer is my strong opinion about them. For me, by the time it is wash day ,my hair is already somewhat dry and weighed down. I moisturize daily twice a day so it gets to the point where my hair gets so clogged from the moisturizers and oils to seal them that it can't take no more. It needs to be cleansed to replace moisture. So for me to be adding oils to seal is dryness is very complicated to me.
Althought, I do agree with adding conditioner and then a layer of oils over it to pre-poo. But that's only after i have rinsed so much and removed atleast some of the excess dirt.
Again, welcome and I hope you find the answer to your question
I like to combine oil in my regimen because it lubricates my hair and prevents my hair from tangling by making it somewhat slippery before de-tangling.
It also prevents dryness and makes your hair shine!
