CONFESS!!! WHO HAS CHEATED OR DROPPED OUT OF

The no checking length challenge. well i confess i cheated a little once last week, i know shame on me i was the one who devised it. i'm being really good now for the next 6 months. so now LADIES confess who else? and maybe we can find ways to prevent being tempted to cheating. so put your thinking caps on.

LOl den I dont blame you, if I had your hair I would be stretching to measure it all the time. I wish I could check my length, but im in kinky twists so I think thats helping me not measure it. I can only go by the newgrowth from the base of the braids. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

ALRIGHT I CONFESS /images/graemlins/covereyes.gif! I did it about 2 weeks ago after I went to the salon. It was the first time my hair has be straight and down since August. I just had to see how close to my bra-clasp I was(I'm less than 3/4" away). Can you blame me /images/graemlins/cry3.gif ? My hair is braided again, so that will prevent me from doing so.

I didn't measure but I did look in the mirror after my mom gave me a trim. I now have the blunt cut I've been wanting. BUT, I did put my hair back up in a bun when she was done.

I would check the hairs in your comb, in the sink/shower and on my clothes after combing. i still touch my ends to feel if its rough/dry or not, and sometimes lightly stretch to test elasticity, if it doesn't break i know my hair is okay, i wear a baggie 24/7 so i know my ends are in good shape, because it helps to prevent end breakage.

Deedabug, you only have to be concerned if the hairs do not contain white bulbs at the tip of the strands as this is normal shedding, if they don't have any its breakage, a certain amount of breakage is normal irregardless whether or not you decide to measure your length, its all down to good hair care practice.

Okay, I cheated thsi past Sunday. I flatironed my hair to wear it down for a funeral and just had to check the length. Shame on me.

Deedabug, you only have to be concerned if the hairs do not contain white bulbs at the tip of the strands as this is normal shedding, if they don't have any its breakage, a certain amount of breakage is normal irregardless whether or not you decide to measure your length, its all down to good hair care practice.

I haven't cheated or dropped out however, when I started, I was bald on both sides in the temple area /images/graemlins/frown.gif I can't ignore them as I begin to see fuzz /images/graemlins/grin.gif but, I am not straightening or pulling to check length. So far, so good.

Here's my confession... I was gonna come clean on my own but couldn't... /images/graemlins/look.gifHere goes... On Oct. 29... I *gasp* straightened my hair. My excuse is/was that I was supposed to get a trim. I planned to be a part of the Big Trim challenge. Anywho... By the time I got to a shop it was closed. But I've learned from that experience that I no longer really enjoy straightened hair. I'm begining to fall in love with the ease with just washing and wearing my hair. It took me about 5 hours to straighten my hair... /images/graemlins/mad.gif Wasn't really worth it in the end. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Now that some of you have confessed about cheating on this challenge, what technique are you using to prevent being tempted to measure or stretch hair to view full length? i have my hair in a protective style, so i have no probs with this.

That's a definite! I'm wearing my hair in individual braids and there's no way I'm going to take the time to take one out, measure my hair and rebraid it.

I fell off the wagon a few days ago. I don't really measure my hair, but after a fresh touch up and wash I did the old "pull down and see" move. I think I did good though. I lasted months!

Back on the wagon now. I hope I'm not the only one still doing this challenge.
