Why do some conditioners have Sodium Laurylth Sulphate in them?

Two that I saw are ORS Hair Mayo and Lafier Honey and Almond.

I have a revlon realistic cream leave in with SLS in it. Its been right there on my dressser since I got the sample.

SLS (and similar detergents) can strip your hair of moisture

But seriously why would you want sudsing action from a conditioner? And I am pretty disappointed in the ORS HAIR Mayo.

Sheesh! And the Lustrasilk cholesterol with aloe has the word alcohol three times in the ingredients list!!!
 
I have no problem with shampoos having them since I want clean hair, but that's not the purpose of me using conditioner.
