Great resource! I hate using shampoo and am trying to go no-poo for the new year. I've figured the only way I can totally avoid shampoo is to use natural products. I still haven't found a natural staple conditioner (for everyday to replace my V05) or a natural heat protectant for the rare times I flat iron. When I do, I will be finished with shampoo for good. My hair has been MUCH better off since I started cowashing or hard core rinsing. every other day and shampooing once a month...if that.

Have you tried Hairveda's 24/7 conditioner? I used to use it for daily co-washes when I was natural. As for a natural heat protectant, someone else will have to chime in. I thought a product had to have cones in order to protect so I've never even heard of a natural heat protectant.

I love the Aubrey Organics White Camellia conditioner. It's concentrated...and it works well when diluted as a cowash conditioner.

Oh and the best heat protectants have silicones in them so I don't think a natural heat protectant is possible. The way I look at it is using heat to straighten is "unnatural" so you may as well get some good "unnatural" products to protect your hair.
