Okay ladies, as you know this weekend I took out my braids after 10 weeks (I would refresh every 5 weeks). Taking out my braids was a breeze thanks to AJamericanDiva's tips for braid removal! I had no breakage, minimal shedding and very little matting at the roots. After I removed braids I washed my hair and used the following products. Here's the review;

V05-kiwi and lime clarifying poo--was good, for .96 cents it did a good job without being overly drying to my hair.:)

B's Perfect for Perms Satin Deep Conditioner--This stuff is amazing! It really moisturizes well and makes my hair soft!:D :D

Oyin's Greg Juice--was OKAY, I really expected more from this. It smelled really nice but really didn't do anything spectacular for tangles. I won't be purchasing this again.:look:

Oyin's Shine and Define Serum-- was pretty good, I like the smell, it went on lightly...the jury is still out on this one.:cool:

Oyin's Whipped butter--I LOVE the way this stuff smells! Like chocolates! It did make my hair softer and helped with the tangles. I'm not sure if I will be purchasing it again because I believe that I can make my own concoction, but maybe if I'm short on time then I'll purchase this.:D

Cantu Shea Soft Strengthening treatment-LOVE! This stuff really defines the waves and smooths down the NG. I did find that it made my hair a little hard, so I have to use it sparingly. I'd say that it works just as well as my beloved Elasta Mango butter, the bad news is that this stuff is IMPOSSIBLE to find in NJ, I got it from a LHCF buddy, StephyPoo (thanks for this stuff!) so when I run out, it will be back to Elasta's Mango Butter.:D :D

This is my review for this week! Next week I'll be reviewing my Elucence shampoo and conditioner and probably more products...stay tuned!:lol:

Where did you get the B's Satin Deep Conditioner from?

I'm sorry but I am no help to you! I just wanted to know about AjamericanDiva's tip for braid removal! Thanks!

bklynwildheart, I get at a BSS in Midtown, between 31st & 32nd street, I'm sorry but the name of this shop escapes me right now.It's a fairly new shop they sell wigs and everything that a PJ only dreams of. But I tried this product on a whim and the next time I'm in Manhattan I will be getting the shampoo and leave-in treatment too.

Sorry I don't know how to pull up an old post...I'll try. Maybe someone can post it, it's titled AJamericanDiva's Tips for braid success.

I can't find it (and I'm pretty good at finding old threads).
