combing BEFORE relaxer?

Is there anything you use to make the comb out before a relaxer easier? Whenever I try to GENTLY comb, it KILLS my head and I'm also afraid of breakage.

Do I just grin and bear it? ...There has to be a better way

Try the s-curl type moisturizer on your roots. I use Fof n Free. IT works at softening my hair so that combing is not painful. HTH
