Can someone please explain exactly what a colourshine is? I figured that it is some form of a dye...Questions: Is it a permanent dye or hair coloring agent? What makes it so different from other hair dyes? Can you use it on natural/pressed hair?

Ok colourshines is a color like a rinse but serves as a great conditioner for your hair that adds strength, body,a nd extreme shine. It is not permanent in fact it fades away in a couple of washes, I guess thats why the bottle is so big, it allows for several (n I mean several) applications. Its different from other dyes because it does not contain any of the harsh stripping, drying agents. In fact it helps your hair and to my knowledge it can be used on any hair type. Im relaxed and have been usin it on n off for years. Ive tried numerous shades but now Ive been pleased with the blue black.

So it isn't a permanent or semi-permanent product...and it helps your hair...thanks for the info.

no it does not work like the dyes that contain peroxide or ammonia. It does not penetrate the hair shaft, more like coats the outer layer.

thanks for explaining it to me...i have been asking for awhile what is a colourshine but no one gave me an answer.

not sure..it might be similar but then again it may be different..i'm not really sure i just found out about it myself.

There is a post called "Sebastians Cellophane Colourshines" or something like that..I don't know how to link a post yet. I would suggest doing a search.

I hated it. It was very messy and too expensive for what it does. You will have better results with a regular semi permanent color.

compared to henna the shine is incredible and uncomparable, non gunky, yet quite as messy lololol. Actually I didnt think it was that messy, your hair is supposed to be 85% dry when u apply it n yet many people apply it on soakin wet hair so it drips all overthe place. I apply it myself with no problems but if its your first I suggest you go to a dominican salon (sorry to discriminate but they do a vveeerrryy goodjob and cheap)so u at least see how it should be applied.
