I would like to put Colourshines in Ginger on my hair around the time of my touch up along with the usual of my nexxus emergencee treatment.

Which one should I do in that order?

What amount of time should I do the colour, protein treatment and relaxer?? Is this doing to much?

Any tips or suggestions on the process for doing each of these things to my hair..I dont want to have any breakage?

Relax> Emergencee> Colourshines.
I usually do Emergencee the week before I get a touchup, but I guess it won't hurt to do it the day of.

thanks webby! Do you suggest that I do the protein treatment a week before just b/c of the colour i am putting on my hair also?

Well, I normally get my color put in the same day that I get my touch up, so I do the protein the week before. I have never had a permanent color, just colourshines. Are you getting these processes done on different days? I thought you were getting everything done at the same time.

yes thats right at the same time
In that case, I recommend that you use your protein the week before you do all of the procedures. That's what my stylist has always recommended and it's been working well for me.

ok I'll do that...in a prior post about colourshines I just read that you used Ginger before..have you used any other colors like Golden Walnut or Honey Wheat? I want a lighter tone of brown to my hair with no red....any suggestions?

I am leaning toward the golden walnut...:D

Ive used honey wheat and it is not light AT ALL. I want something WAY lighter. How does the ginger look? Is it a light color?

Hey Chaya:wave:

The ginger is more of a reddish/brown color....check kitichen's album (she used this color but she has highlights underneath the colourshines ::decieving color::)

I have dk brown hair and I want to lighten it up a couple of shades of brown...like a darker golden caramel color.

I've used Ginger, Bold Gold, Cinnamon and Coffee Bean. My hair is naturally kind of light (gets lighter in the summer), so really dark colors look strange on me. Depending on your natural color, I think that any of the lighter golds will lighten your hair up, but you may not see any drastic changes until the second application. For some people, the color does not deposit as well the first time, ya know?

thanks webby for tip! I guess I won't expect too much until further applications so that I won't be disappointed.

I have never had any color put into my hair whether permanent or not. So this is all new to me. I am bored with the color and need a change. I want highlights but don't want any breakage as I am trying to get progress with my hair ya know?
