Hi guys,
I've always wondered what is the correct way to effectively apply coloured braids to black hair, so that the black hair would not show through. Has anyone successfully done it on their own without dying their hair first? 'preciate your comments. Thanks.

Thanks RDM,
I can't believe no one has done coloured braids b4. Because everytime I attempt it, the black hair always shows through. Then again I see others with it done well, but off course someone did it for them. Anyone????

They just braid it in like you would with regular black hair. Most peoples hair still shows through. Unless the braids are really small. Especially when it grows out. I've never seen it where you only saw the colored hair. Oh yeah sometimes people mix a little of their own hair color (like a 1b or 2) in with whatever ever the colored hair in so it blends better. That might be the answer to your question.

HEY!! I left a comment a couple days ago and now it's vanished!

What I do is add a tiny bit of a 2nd colour that's close to my own hair colour.

There ya go. It brings the color down some and makes your hair less noticeable.
