I'm in the process of looking for a good rinse in maybe a red tint.:yep: I've heard good things from the board on both the ColorShowers and Adore, but which is the best? Which brand has the prettiest shades? Which one lasts longer? I'd love to hear from someone with personal experience. I'm inclined to go with Adore for the obvious; it's only $3.

Well, I've only used Adore in Clear and some Plummy color, but their color selection was decent. Unfortunately, no matter what it washed out within 2 washes and that was with heat.

I've only tried Colorshowers in Gold (don't be fooled, it looks auburn on light to dark brown hair), but it lasted about 5 or 6 washes and the other colors look pretty good. Lucky for me I got my last 2 Colorshowers as a favor but I don't mind paying 19.99 for it. :look:

i don't know if ur relaxed or not....

but my beautician used adore when she relaxed it. And that was 7 weeks ago. I would say it stayed in up to week 5 for me.:yep::yep:...oh yea I used blue black this time. (i usually do black anyway). I still have yet to try colorshowers

Thanks girls for the fast replies. I'm relaxed by the way. I just got a touch up last week and am looking to add some color within the week. Did you get a lot of shine from the Adore?

honestly, I got more shine from clairol's rinses...but they definitely don't last long. If its a lot of shine u want, u can always mix ur color choice with a clear rinse. I've done this b4, and got good results.

How do you apply it? I'm going to let a pro do my first color, but after that, I want to do it myself. I got the clairol one. I am going to get this gray out of my hair.:ohwell:

I personally use Color Showers and love it, but I've used Adore on my sis and one of my friends w/good results. I love the fact that CS is olive oil based and while it costs more, you get more so it sorta balances things out.

I have used both and they both last a good amount of time.
I like think adore has brighter colors though and i like the shine from adore a little better too. I used to use Crimson by Adore.
I also like that the processing time for adore is shorter than for Color showers.
They are both great products though.

I've used Adore years ago with good results
I tried the color showers once but it left my hair very dry and hard so I didn't use it again

DaRealist,

Is the crimson a really bright red or is it pretty suttle? Is it conservative enough for an office job? I ordered ColorShowers 3 days ago from Roundbrushhair and haven't gotten a response from them yet.
