I had color my hair cooper in June but now i regret coloring it. The color has fade plus my roots are black. I want to color my hair but black but will that cause any problems? I could place a black rinse on my hair but it never last longer then 2 weeks. Help! Do you think i should just grow the color out? Would i be okay if i color over the cooper color?

If you used a permanent color then you have two options:

  1. Let it grow out, trimming the color off as you go. this is the healthiest option and if you do it right, it's kind of cute. I got many compliments on my two-tone afro puff while I was growing out a damaging dye job
  2. Go to a recommended, competent colorist who will correct your color without damaging your hair. When I decided to go back to relaxing, this is what I did and it made a world of difference for me, as I didn't lose much of my hair in the process. It wasn't cheap, but it was well worth it.

^Good advice.

Why do you regret coloring your hair in the first place? How is your current hair health? If it's not super healthy, I would go to a professional after several rounds of deep moisture and protein treatments.

The hair color is beautiful but i just wished i keep my natural color. lol I didnt think about having to keep the color up:lachen:. Just lazy! My hair is healthy. I am going to leave it alone for now. I will just grow out the color and see how i feel about in in 4months.

i agree, i'd let the color grow out. i always let the color grow out. yes, ive looked a bit of a mess for a few months but i'd just grow out and trim out. i've heard too many horror stories of people putting color on top of color.
