Hmmm . . . I have both and the coconut oil seems lighter to me. The coconut oil makes my hair softer, but it flies away in the breeze (when there isn't one!) if I don't use something heavier to help keep it down. I use the jojoba oil because it is very much like the sebum our scalps naturally produce, and it is supposed to be a excellent conditioner. It is definitely thicker in consistency than the liquid form of coconut oil.
 
I have used both.I like jojoba better.It is a lot lighter in my opinion.Coconut oil somehow leaves my hair feeling dry though it is heavier.
I like to use heavier oils like coconut and olive mixed in with my conditioner,whereas jojoba I would use alone on my hair on a morning.
 
Joboba oil is lighter and it is great for an overall headress. But the coconut oil works wonders for hair when that newgrowth starts coming in and you need to tame your hair!
