The coconut oil that I bought IS liquid, but it becomes solidified when it's kept in the fridge. I got mine from a health food store and I doubt that one brand is better than the next, because it's just oil, not a mixture, ya know?Tonya said:I was thinking it would be liquid. Maybe I should try some of these in the jar. Thanks ladies?
I can't compare to shea butter, but I used to use CO in my air, with a mixture of other essential oils as a pre-poo. My hair was always super soft...but pre-poos are too time consuming, so I stopped.Tonya said:What effects has iot had on your hair for the ladies that are using it. IN your opinon is it betetr than Shea butter oil?

There are differences between some brands because I bought Parachute brand and the smell was sickening to me. These are both food grade.

Yep. My coworker has lovely hair.curlilocs said:Eastern Indian women use coconut oil religiously. Their claim is that it stimulates the scalp and promotes hair growth. If you've noticed, most East Indian women have beautiful lush heads of hair!
Personally I don't think one is better than the other. Used together or seperate they could only enhance the appearance and health of your hair![]()

For those that use the liquid kind--do you ever apply it as a liquid or just let it harden?
