I bought coconut milk for pretreats but I heard that it'll quickly spoil. Now that I'm in braids, would it be wise to mix it in with BRX spray or is that too much build up?

I don't wear braids (extensions) but I keep my coconut milk in the freezer and just use some now and then for pretreatments.

What kind of braids do you have? I would image that if you just use it like a conditioning treatment and wash it out afterward, it would work. I wouldn't recommend putting it in the braid spray and spraying on your hair daily.

Yes, Diva, that's what I was thinking- using it as a daily moisturizer. Thank you for clearing that up. Unfortunately, I don't do too much water washing with my micros because they tend to slip out in the back since my hair is so short. All I do is run water over it after I use ORS Herbal cleanser.

I don't have braids either but I add coconut milk to my spray bottle and

the results. It leaves my hair so fluffy and soft. I wouldn't recommend adding it to braid spray b/c it does spoil and you get the sour milk smell after awhile. I make about 4 oz. at a time, but I don't see why you couldn't use distilled water and braid spray as your base. I use a watery leave-in and distilled water as my base, then add other things (Lacio, Aloe Vera, Avocado and Castor Oil) before topping w/a few tablespoons of milk.
