There has been a thread here on sealing the ends using Vaseline and the baggie method. I came up on the same idea, but instead of Vaseline, why not using cocoa butter on the ends for moisture? I bought a travel size jar of Hollywood Beauty Cocoa Butter Cream from CVS for .99 cents. I basically bought it for my stretch marks and scars. The other night, after doing my pre-no 'poo treatment and CO wash, I applied the cocoa butter on my ponytail. I took a sheet of plastic wrap and covered it and secured it with another scrunchie. And I tied my hair up with my satin durag before bed. The next morning, I removed the durag and the plastic that's covered my ponytail overnight. And guess what? My hair is so moist and soft. I left my hair in a ponytail and air dried it before leaving the house. I think I'll do this until my ends becomes less drying. Do you think that cocoa butter will do this than using Vaseline for the baggie method? TIA.
