I recently joined the board in between relaxers and now that i have a fresh relaxer I really wanted to know if you ladies really start your co-washing regimens the day after your fresh relaxer........How do you let go of the beautiful straight look??????

Hi,
I dont do anything to my for at least two days (usually) I do make sure that I apply moisturiser/conditioner to my freshly relaxed hair (I allow it to dry naturally after relaxing to reduce stress levels!) so my hair isn't always dry in two days.
But I will co wash a few days later just to ensure that my hair has as m,uch moisture as possible.
hope this helps. Let us know what you did.

I actually don't like the straight look and don't care for wearing my hair down because that exposes it to the elements. I love water. I love the way it feels on my hair and will use a conditioner with a low pH the day after relaxing sometimes. I always want to be triple sure that I got all of the residue out. Been doing for 3 years and my hair has not suffered.
