I know that it is a BIG NO-NO
to wash within 3 days before a relaxer, but how about co-washing?

I am convinced its a full moonerplexed
I'm wondering what the need is for cowashing before a relaxer?

I've never co-washed prior to a relaxer. I always clarify my hair on the last wash prior to a relaxer. It is not recommended to wash or co-wash that close to a relaxer date. To do so "could" lead to scalp burns during the relaxer process. HTH!
I figured as much. I guess I'm being impatient lol.
Um....no. The reason why you shouldn't wash before a relaxer, is the same reason why you shouldn't co-WASH before a relaxer.
There you go! HHJ, and good job coming to the board with your question (no matter what the rest of us may think of it) before trying it out yourself. But, I guess water does opens the pores as well which would leave your scalp vulnerable to irratation during the chemical process. Like I said, I'm just being impatient (looking for hope in all the wrong places). Thanks to those of you for the help and reassurance w/out the sarcasm.
