Clipless curling iron?

I'm seeing a lot of clipless curling irons lately- they come with a glove so you don't burn yourself when you wrap your hair around the iron.

Has anyone tried one of these? Any tips or recommendations? looks a little scary...lol

I have never used one but MsKibibi(sp?) on youtube said is she just removed the clip on her clipped curling iron

I would try to remove the clip on a curling iron that I already have before buying a clipless one. They seem kind of expensive

Those are called curling wands. I think they are good for people like me that cant twirl a curling iron. I cant twirl a curling iron once I clip my hair under that clamp to save my life.
