Have gone from cowashing to shampoo to shampoo bars and finally deciding that they all take too much moisture from my hair. I have very fine hair that needs to be cleansed frequently or will become weighed down. With the frequency of my washes my hair is becoming and staying dry. Regular cowashing leaves to much build up for my fine low density strands. Does any one have any suggestions on conditioners washes formulated for cleansing?

I like Ouidad's Curl Co-Wash. Its in most Ulta stores which is nice because if you decide you dont like it, you can always return it:

Wen dries my hair out really bad ,it has non slip and tangles my hair .i really wanted to like it .. I like Ouidad and Claudie s 1-5 cleansing con

Hair One from Sally's Beauty Supply! It is moisturizing but also leaves my scalp feeling fresh (not squeaky clean). It comes in different types depending on your hair type--olive oil, jojoba, etc.--but I always use the Sweet Almond Oil one.

Eden bodyworks coconut shea co wash. You can get it at sally's. I think it's 7.99 and you get a tub of it.

My favorite is Curl Junkie's Daily Fix cleansing conditioner. I alternate my washes between this and shampoo. So cleansing conditioner, shampoo, cleansing conditioner, clarify. A happy medium for my hair and scalp.

ETA: I purchased mine from aveyou.com because I can get shipping for $1 since I normally buy all my other products from there too. However I love it so much, I'll be grabbing a few of the huge bottles straight from CurlJunkie.com during their next sale.

Have you tried rinsing your scalp and hair regularly without any product?
You could then follow the rinse with an oil/moisturizer.

Ion (found at Sallys) has a cleansing conditioner. It works fine. My issue was the 'cones. They're no bueno for my hair.

I currently cleanse with As I Am Cleansing Pudding, V05 Kiwi Lime Conditioner and detox with the Shea Moisture Purification Mask about once a month (I'd say I clarify with it).

I just tried the As I Am Cleansing Pudding and I love it!

Op, my hair is like yours, fine and weighed down easily and i get build up quick which results in knots and tangles and breakage. i've tried a lot of cleansing conditioners but my absolute favorite cleansing co wash is nubian heritage indian hemp and tamanu strengthen and grow moisturizing cowash. is the sister company of shea moisture and it's silicone free and contains kaolin clay which helps cleanse the hair and scalp. I find mine at CVS but i've also ordered it from curlmart. It has slip and makes my hair feel moisturized and strong and makes my curls pop.

I've heard good things about the ouidad cleansing conditioner i want to try that too.

NaturallyATLPCH does the AIA Cleansing Pudding make your hair feel soft, after rinsing, or squeaky clean?

I'm tempted to try it but I hear it's a real cleanser, different from a typical cowash conditioner.

nymane, my hair was very soft after rinsing. It didn't strip my hair at all. And I washed twice. It was a cleansing foam for me which I like, not sudsy stripping. It really felt like a cleansing conditioner to me and not your typical shampoo. I like for my cleansers to foam.

I'd heard the same thing so I was hesitant to try it but it's now a staple.

Thanks, good to hear because most reviews are on the coconut cowash conditioner.

Suave naturals has a new clarifying conditioner, family size for $1.50.

Sorry to quote myself. However, I cowashed with this conditioner today after a week with no cleansing and my hair is so freaking clean. It felt like I did a regular shampoo and condition.

This conditioner to me is a no fuss, no extra unnecessary ingredients, all around clean, staple conditioner. Between this and suave coconut, these are the best cheap drugstore cowashing con
