I scooped the hydrating treatment and leave in conditioner up last night. I really shouldn't have because I just bought the Lanza dry hair treatment but I couldn't stop myself. Well I lightly washed my hair and applied the conditioner. It was nice and thick and smelled pretty good too. I slapped three plastic caps on my head and watched my all time favorite movie, BREAKIN'2. I rinsed after the movie and combed inthe leave in. The leave in is creamy looking but is very light and non sticky. The comb just glided through my hair with out ripping out my precious strands. I wrapped it and went to bed. When I woke up I was pleased to find shiny, soft and smooth hair

. I lightly flat ironed and was on my way. I will definalty buy it agian. By the way, I only paid 6 bucks for both products.

Dionne,

I am so glad you posted this because Clairol is making some great products these days. I've used more recently than I have in years and have been utterly elated.

Hopefully, before the summer is over, I will be able to find that leave-in you described. Sounds awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

Much Love,

Jade

Dionne, this sounds like good stuff. Did you find this in a beauty supply store, or a regular old CVS/Duane Reade type store??

Not only do I agree with you that Renewal 5X rocks, but I think that CLAIROL rocks!! I should buy stock in that company because they make some of my staple products, such as my hair color (Textures & Tones) and my all time favorite (I will never give it up) hairdress (Vitapointe), and I'm sure there are others too that I just can't think of right now!!

Clairol is definitely cool with me...

I have to answer this one, if it's okay with you, Kitkat? Clairol's Renewal 5x line can be found at any drug, grocery, and discount department store. No, you can't find it in the beauty supply store. Hope I can help you. Try the line, you can't go wrong with strong healthy hair.

I do remember the Vitapointe hairdress because my late grandmother used it on her hair. I'm surprised they still have it in stores (just saw a tube of the stuff at CVS the other day). I love Clairol and my favorite hair color Natural Instincts. Go to Proctor & Gamble website, since the hair company giant recently joined this mega consumer company for almost a year, you'll find a lot of their products through the brand name web page. Have fun with Clairol, and I agree with Dionne and yourself,
they do rock!!!!

I agree with all the posts. I tried Renewal 5X products just last saturday and i totally love these products. I really hope they do not stop selling these products. I have been frantically looking for the right shampoo/conditioner and i'm hoping that these products will continue to do the job. I will not try any other product (except for clarifying shampoo)on my hair. I'm trying to stick with "less products". So my hair products are clairol renewal 5x replenishing shampoo, hydrating conditioner, daily nourishment, woc gel, s-curl or sta-so-fro, vaseline and profectiv mega growth. I'm working very hard to see if i can 1" month especially since the weather will soon be warm and your hair tends to grow faster during those months. I have a goal of at least 4" by the end of August which means effort and consistency on my part. I hope i get there. Anyway, i may have to stock up on these clairol renewal products because i went to cvs and there was only one left on the shelf of both the hydrating conditioner and daily nourishment. I was thankful it was left just for me.

Ok, I just came back from Walgreen's. This stuff was only $2.99. I peeked at the ingredients discovered that it contains that Phytantriol stuff! You know the stuff that's supposed to be a good heat protectant!?

I was strong enough to walk away.....but, I'll be going back!!!

Thanks for the review, Dionne!

Thanks, BabyCurls! Darn, if you said I could only find it in a beauty supply place, at least I'd have to make an effort to get to one. But any old drug store??? This makes it too easy!

You guys are gonna bankrupt me, I swear . . . well, at least my hair will look good!!

Hey, we PJs have to rave about new hair care products so we can annouce them to the world to try. I feel the same way, too, 'ya know. We'll have to rename the board to PJAA (Product Junkaholics Annonymous).

I plan on buying both the Shampoo and Conditioner from this line because RITE-AID has them on sale for $1.99 each. I have tried the Hydrating TReatment and it worked really well for me. I only lost three strands, which is terrific for me.

I totally agree with you. I used it as my "creme rinse" today after a conditioner wash. It was a great little detangler and softener. I noticed that it has Hydrolyzed Elastin in it. The only other place I've seen that ingredient is in Keracare Super Reconstructor which is like $24 for the bottle. I paid $2.54 for this Clairol conditioner

Good point, Supergirl. The prices you see for professional hair care products are like, totally ridiculous. Who has that kind of money for products like that? I mean, like, c'mon, get real! Cheaper products produce real good results, as is the case with the Renewal 5x line. $24.00 can get you a full set of acrylic nails at a nail salon.

I don't. That's why I do 'em myself at home. I will however, study to be a nail tech before the end of the year. I would independently work at my home, not at a salon and get paid by commissions.
