Clarifying Shampoo Question

I clarified my hair for the first time in years last night. I noticed that my hair was super soft and silky after I conditioned it. Then, when I roller set it was still soft. Then when I unwrapped it this morning, it felt weird. Maybe this is how conditioned hair feels?

Now you know you need to give up the details, sis! What did you use to clarify & condition? Did you use a setting lotion for your rollerset?

After you clarify and take all the gunk out then follow with something moisturizing or my favorite hair mayo my hair feels great!!! Except this week i clarified and i dont think my hair needed it since ive simplified my regimine and dont use alot of products anymore like i did at first. It left my hair really DRY!!!LOL so i used some moisturizing con and its back to normal.

I used Avlon's 1st lather shampoo and really diluted Lottabody setting lotion.

Sounds good so far....what did you use to condition? And how would you describe the "weird" feeling? Is it weird in a bad way, or does it just feel different?

I also used Avlon's Humecto conditioner. I mean weird in a good and healthy way. It hasnt felt this way in a long time. Have you ever worn braces? It is like when you get your braces off and you are feeling your teeth for the first time in a long time. I guess I am feeling how my hair is supposed to feel. That is the best analogy I could think of.

Good analogy. I remember that feeling all too well. It was a beautiful thing!
