i'm pretty sure its a loose bun or ponytail on top of your head. i know a few people wear their hair like this at bedtime.

Yes, I've done this style for years and it really works well if you're trying to maintain a rollerset.

It's a loose ponytail, yep. Just gather it loosely on top of your head with a scunci.

thanks Pokahontas...and do you leave your hair out - thinking something like "i dream of jeannie" or do you loop it thru the scrunci once? so it forms more of a loop atop your head? (i'm thinking its the latter.)

I only do pineapples on my rollerset or straight hair and I put it in a loose bun on top of my head, secure with bobby pins. I have not had much luck with pineapples and my natural curls. I usually have a mess when I take it down but I might revisit this method.

You might want to try pm'ing Cichelle.....I don't think she's seen this thread.

thanks! i know, NOTHING seems to give me 2nd day curls. but i just want an option to wrapping or just tying my hair up with a silk scarf at night. might try a braid. thanks for the answer - i tried to pm her, but i don't think she's accepting pm's? i have no idea what to do with my hair at night so that it looks somewhat decent in the morning. (and i'm going to have to find your roller-setting how-to's, Pokahontas, i have only tried that once, with no success.) i'm hairstyling remedial. need lots of help.

So you're trying to get second day wash n' go's? I've had more success by doing my hair like this http://public.fotki.com/Pokahontas/2008/how-i-keep-my-wash-/ at night.....or braiding in two loose braids like Teri from the bi-racial hair site does. HTH
