I have seen pics of this updo but I have no idea how to do it. Can someone give me step by step instructions and alos let me know if my hair is long enough? Thanks a bunch ladies.

Hi xcellence2,

yes your hair is definitely long enough to do a bun/chignon. My hair is past my shoulders which is not as long as yours and i still get a very full bun. Ok here is what I do...

1. I put my hair into a ponytail (with a non breakage ponytail holder of course-smile)

2. I gather my hair in my hand and kind of twist/roll it into the shape of a bun around the ponytail holder.

3. Finally I secure my bun with 1 or 2 bobbie pins (with the rubber tips still attached of course...if you do not have both rubber tips still on the bobbie pins it could break you hair off-smile)

However you hair is really long so you might be able to secure your ponytail within the actual ponytail holder -meaning tuck the last part of your made bun under the ponytail holder...but I would use a scruchie in your case because your hair is long....that might be easier for you to do then a ponytail holder. Overall it takes practice but you will get the hang of it. Good Luck!!!!
