Supergirl

With Love & Silk
One of my sorority sisters sent this to me. These are pics of the new AKA's at Clark Atlanta at their coming out party. Pic 9 & 16 are good if you want to get a good look at the hair.

It does look like they were all made to go get a Dominican wrap & blowout for the presentation, huh?

All of the ladies' hair looks nice, but uh who are the men in pic #20? Especially the two w/the glasses.

Blaxalrose,

I've never heard of Alpha Pi. Is that a fairly new org.? I'm a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha.

Ohh I really want to be an AKA. Gotta get my stuff together though.

Oh and stay away from them Kappa boys. All my significant ex's except one became Kappas after we broke up. They are some slick brothas. I'm glad I dated them before and not after they crossed over.

Their hair is gorgeous! and of course i checked out the fellas ...whoa... but uh um.. back to the hair... I think it is a requirement..as silky as their hair looks :-) lol

Supergirl, are you Alpha Pi?? I love my sorors from sweet Alpha Pi, if they are anything like my chapter, BA, then they were told to get those heads freshly permed or relaxed before the show. But the hair looks fantastically well.

We were told the same thing. There is nothing like the "swing factor" for the Serious Matter step.

Very nice pics, and you should see me. I am in the computer lab at school with huge eyes as i am checking out those guys too. They are some chocolatey treats! Whoo Hoo! =)

Soror...you've got me reminiscing back to when I crossed. But I don't think my hair looked as good as the girls in these pics.

LuLu, does that girl relly have braids in her hair? It looks like her hair to me.

I must agree these guys are HOT! Could it be something in the water that makes these guys and gals so Hotilicious???

Wow that was great Supergirl! They all have very nice heads of hair and it all looks completely natural (theirs - no weaves!!) Hey everybody, I'm a Delta, any Deltas out there??? Supergirl, my sister-in-law is an AKA, as well as one of my best friends! It's so ironic that I have more AKA friends and two really really close Delta friends, my line sister and another newer friend! My Mom is a Delta too and then my cousins are AKA's!!! WE're VERY Greek!! But yes, your sorors hair looks FANTASTIC!!! As does yours!!I can't wait to get some good tips from you at the Dallas meeting!

Hey Supergirl, I also want to talk with you about Teaching!! I saw you had a post somewhere and said you were a Teacher, and I'm currently applying for the Teacher Preparation and Certification program with Region 10! (fingers crossed - I'll find out before Christmas!) But I'm having a seriously career change! My Mom and Dad were in Education for years as well as my brother and I went my own way (Corporate America - yuck!) and now I've discovered my real love!! I recently volunteered with Junior Achievement and taught at Burnet Elementary here in Dallas, and to make a long story short..........it was the very best day of my entire professional career!!! I LOVED it and I'm soooo positive it's what I want to do! Anyhoo, sorry this is so long, I should have sent a PM, but anything....highs, lows...you can tell me about Teaching I'd greatly appreciate!! Thanks! :-)
