DH lost his phone a few days ago and has not been able to find it. I'm pretty sure he dropped it a few nights ago after he called to see if I needed him to pick up anything after work. We checked online and the last call on the phone was calling home. It hasn't been used since.

We have no insurance through our carrier but the phone is covered under our homeowners insurance ($500 deductible).

A replacement phone is $649 (only 8 months into new 2 year contract) but I'm sure there are ways to get a new phone for well under $500 since so many people change phones every year.

Where is everyone getting their new phones?

Ebay?
Amazon?
Craigslist?

Check HSN or QVC. They have the Samsung for 199.00 tonight. I have a bad habit of window shopping on those channels but I don't buy anything.

Just as I was about to click "Buy It Now" on ebay for a new phone, I checked craigslist (one more time) and ended up getting a practically brand new phone with receipt from some young guy who wants to upgrade. I contacted a few other people but he was the first to reply and he had the newest phone.

I met him at the cell phone store to make sure the phone would work. They popped in a new SIM (free) and that was it.
