How long did it take for you to see any changes? I've been taking it along with biotin for the past month and can't report any "real" change :ohwell:. I've never taken the two supplements simultaneously, so it's a little experiment for me  . Oh, I do realize that sometimes it does make me a little gassy :look: .

It took two weeks of MSM before I noticed a change. It took a few months before it was stopped changing. I didn't notice much from biotin either.

From msm, my hair is so straight. it is wavy and i was never wavy. i had tight curls. it is softer too. it took maybe 3 months. you will definitely see it. i am not sure i like the change. i think i wont be able to do a super relaxer. with hardly any curl pattern, i am wondering what relaxer i would use if the hair is practically straight. i also wonder if it is weaker because it is soft. it is strong but sometimes i interpret softer to be weak.
the hair is also shiny. i took 1000 mg in the am and pm when i started. now i only take 1 at night because it gives me gas and affects my cycle. so far once a day works. hope this info helps.

Wow, something must really be up with my body :look: .

As a rule of thumb you want to give a vitamin 3 months to see results. I noticed results in about that amount of time maybe a little less. I love MSM it allows me to stretch longer.

Or something's really up w/ mine. :) My hair (and not just the root) felt softer after 2 weeks. My skin felt softer too.

I made a promise to stick it out for at least 3 months to see what results I will get.

Man ive been taking it a few days, and i can say my skin already feels softer, i wonderif im imagining it, but im sure its softer. I can't talk on the hair yet, as i don't have much of it lol. HTH

I've been taking MSM regularly for about 2 months, and I've noticed softer skin and new growth too. And I do think my curl pattern has loosened up a bit. I take 2000 mg/day.

I've been taking msm for 3 years and the one thing I can say is that my new growth is much stronger yet softer and stays in my scalp.

Also I notice more things during the times when Im not taking it. This is usually when I run out of it and take too long to buy more. It only takes two weeks for me to notice the difference... I feel pain in certain parts of my body after working out. My watch would irritate my wrist. Also, I begin to shed more. That's when I realize just how valuable msm has been to my life. Now I never go without it.

I read somewhere that it detoxes the body. Perhaps, if you are toxic (not hard with our eating practices) then it takes longer. Also, I was taking those stupid Natrol MSM pills and found out they weren't pure. I guess it would have taken me a while to see any results.

That could be it too. I am trying to eat better.

what brand are you taking and are you taking pills or powder?

It makes my hair softer and my new growth less curly/nappy. My skin is very smooth but it's more sensitive. for example, my clay mask that I always use stings when it didn't before, and I got a bikini wax yesterday and oh.my.God that was sooo painful, when it usually isn't. I started with 1/8 teaspoon in September 06 and slowly worked my way up to a teaspoon in the mornings.
