certain rollers for certain hair types...

i have THICK 3c/4a hair, and i really want to do a roller set. but it seems thats my hair never comes out straight when i do it because i can never roll my hair tight enough. i use plastic rollers...so i'm thinkin maybe i need different type of rollers. does anyone have any suggestions on what type of rollers i should use on my thick 3c/4a hair?

I just did my first roller set and I used mesh/brush rollers with clips.

AmilLion had some good instructions on roller setting and making them tight. As far as the mesh rollers with the brush in the middle, I personally remove the brush from the wire mesh rollers because they can pull at your hair... Here's a pic of mesh rollers(with the brush in the middle) if you still want to try them...
