Ceramic Flat Irons - Cleaning?

Ladies,

How do you clean your ceramic flat irons? Is there a proper way to do this so that you don't destroy what makes it ceramic and ensure that you keep the flat irons from being too hard on the hair? Please advise.

I don't know if there's a "proper" way... I just use my towel that's still damp from my hair.

there is a spray that they sell at wal-mart that is made to clean ceramic irons sally's has one also.

Thank you so much. I didn't know there was a spray. I'm going to get some. I bet Wal Mart is cheaper than Sallys.
