Cellophane or not?

Hi Ladies,

I had a question about cellophane. Just took out my weave and letting my hair breath until March 3 (I have 4a/b waist length, natural hair). In the mean time was considering getting a clear cellophane because I "heard" that it is a great way to seal the cuticle and add shine and moisture to the hair. I also heard it protects it. And from heard, I mean things people who are NOT well versed in hair care have told me.

I just wanted to know if any of these statements are true and whether I should get one.

Thanks

Go ahead and do it. I'm not sure which brand you're writing about, but I can say from experience, that Sebastians Cellophanes do what you've described and is completely gentle to the hair. Most are, and I've tried A TON.

Sebastian is brand I use. I love cellophanes & have never experienced any problems with them.

I've only heard good things. But that was pre-hair boards. They are very gentle, though. I do know that.

They can be beneficial to the hair as long as you concentrate on your moisture treatments in the days/weeks leading up to your rinse.
