Cautionary Tales!

You guys!!!! My hair is looking so lovely nowadays thanks to LHCF! /images/graemlins/kiss.gif I think it might be longer than I have quoted in my signature. I was looking last night and I am a couple of inches from my armpit, it looks like...Anyway, I had my hair done last week and I was so excited! My hair looked so good and shiny and bouncy that I did not want to stop wearing it down! Soooo, I didn't. /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif I wore my hair down, mostly curly, for over a week! Ooops! Now the first few days were ok, but it is very cold and windy here, so my ends took a beating! Last night, I did an Emergencee treatment, then blowdried, flatironed and dusted my ends because I was not pleased. I dusted them just last week and my hair was looking so nice. But with the wind and the week of manipulation, as well as not washing on my regular schedule because I was looking so dang good, I suffered a little bit! Moral of the story: you may be looking good today, but your ends might suffer after a week! I think I can wear my hair down 1-2 days tops in this weather! I wear protective styles 99 percent of the time, so I am back to that today. But, it is so hard to do this sometimes when you see your hair's progress and you feel so pretty! I forgot myself for a minute! Back to the task! Anyway, this is my story. I know some of you guys have super strong hair and can do all of what I did with no problems! But, I have to really baby my ends because my old stylist used to overlap my relaxer! /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif And this cold is murder on my hair!

UBAVKA123.....I definately feel you on this one!!!!! I have been doing the baggy method for the past month and when I wasn't baggying, I was doing protective buns.......Well, I knew that I had several events coming up that I had to look professional (a.k.a. hair out)...My ends look great and I want to keep it that way....Plus, of course the week that I have to wear my hair out, the weather gets super cold!!!!! /images/graemlins/mad.gif Needless to say, I can't wait until this Sunday!!!! I MISS MY BAGGY METHOD!!!!! BAGGY!!!!!BAGGY!!!!!BAGGY!!!!!

You are so right. I did wash-n-go during the summer and my ends took a BEATING /images/graemlins/angry2.gif

I think that I do much better with the roller sets, because my natural oils flow down to the ends of my hair. By the end of the summer I ended up having about 4 inches cut, which have since grown back, but I was miffed, to say the least.
