Funny Story- I visited my family this past weekend, washed my hair before I got there but needed to wash my hair again. So I was a little unprepared- didn't have any EVCO- my mom only had a small amt of some coconut oil that she made but it wasn't enough.

So I asked her if she had castor oil and she said yes. I got really excited :spinning: thinking I was going to get the good stuff because this is the lady who would send me black castor oil from home (caribbean) to make sure I got a 'good clean out' (purge). But it wasn't that, she pulled out a roll-on! I wanted to die- I was like ah-ah- I thought it was a deodorant and thought this woman is really crazy if she thinks I will put that on my head.:nono:

But it was just plain castor oil that she rubs in her hands and then puts whereever. I tried it and I really liked it! It was easy to spread- applied it right to my wet hair so didn't get my hands sticky. It is pure, coldpressed hexane-free. She got it from the grocery store (Giants- if you have that in your area).

Just thought I'd share. Found it online at places like amazon, bizrate- there is a pic below. Maybe you've tried it?- what did you think? If not, I thought it would be easy to use especially for when you travel unless of course you only like the BCO.

I just recently started using castor oil and love it, but yes it is messy to apply. I'll definitely be on the look out for this product.
