It dried and tangled my hair something terrible. The people who dilute it with a lot of water seem to have the best results. But it didn't agree with me at all. Not even as a bodywash.
My mom used Kirk's Castille Soap on my hair and body when I was little. I'm glad I found the soap at Kroger. I sometimes use the bar, but I melted half a bar to use for my shampoo. I have no problems with it, and left my hair soft and managable. I still have my melted soap in a dishwashing liquid bottle. I just need to keep adding more distilled water to the soap 'cause it gelled up very quickly. I think I'm going to purchase some pepermint e.o. and add it to my shampoo.
I have, and I love it. An older, more experienced natural recommended adding aloe vera gel, olive oil, nettle, rosemary, and horsetail to it. She said it makes it more moisturizing.
I lOVE castille soap!!! I use Dr. Bronner's for my shampoo. I make sure to always do a pre-poo with lots of castor oil/coconut oil and baggy the night before. Sometimes put egg in there too. I mix the shampoo with a bit of conditioner as well if my hair is feeling a bit dry, but generally have found that Dr. Bronners is the softest, gentlest, most natural shampoo for my hair. My hair loves it!!!!
