i'm thinking of mixing cassia and indigo as a conditioning, coloring treatment...is this as effective/similar to hennindigo???

I don't think i've seen it as a mix, i've done a thread search....

i'd just like to combine the two instead of doing a two step method.

thanks for your input!

thanks ladies, for your input, however,
i took the plunge, tried it and....
i think i didn't put enough indigo in my mix. :perplexed

i did a prepoo with amla oil overnight and basically i think i did a Cassindigo gloss..
i used about 1/2 cup of cassia, i added my usual tblspn of brahmi, maka and amla along with a dollop of cholesterol mango butter and a few squirts of vatika and 1/2 cup of warm water...it felt soo cool and soothing on my hair and scalp.
I left it on for 2 hours (was really sleepy, would have done it longer).
I dc-ed with elasta qp dpr11 - my fav- and more of my maka, brahmi and amla and cnut oil for 30 minutes, no heat. i cowashed with suave coconut and braided my hair in 8 ponies.

i went to my domini stylist and got a mini-blow-out and flatiron. well, i must say, my hair is SUPA SOFT!!! I just love touching it...it has a nice sheen, nothing to hurt your eyes, but it looks healthy. I did notice my waves poppin a little sooner than usual ~my hair gets relaxer straight with one pass, but it's only day 3 of flatiron-i go bonestraight for 2 weeks easy, as long as i don't heavily perspire or get too much humidity, but i'm impressed with how my hair feels, though i wish it felt heavier. i miss my heavy hair. very few strands have come out, which is nice, last week i had quite a few to shed and break...for the last few months i had NONE.

I love AYURVEDA!!!

next time, i'll up my quotient of indigo to an equal amount of cassia...great things will happen.

whatcha think? i think i done good!

this is interesting.... i think i did hear of this of this combo for people who dont want to golden tones that cassia can give to grey hair.

IDK much about cassia. I know that henna seals your cuticle and leaves your hair shiny and over time strengthens hair. What does Cassia do?

How much indigo did you use?

And as long as you loved the results, I'm happy for you!

i used approximately 3 tblspns of indigo, 1/2 cup of cassia.

i like my results, only i would like more indigo to show up, and no, there was no bluish tint left at all.
