Ladies who have these rollers, do you have any tips and/or tricks to share. I just got mine after much consideration and I did a test curl that was just ok. Kind of dry looking. What do you use on/do to your hair to have slamming results? Do you use these on freshly relaxed hair? During a stretch? If you use during a stretch, what do you do with the newgrowth? Blow out? Flat Iron? Thanks in advance for your responses.:D

I didn't use the endpapers. I thought about it though once I saw the sponge. Thanks marie. I must also say that I only had my infusium leave in on my hair. Just asking for suggestions.

after taking out the rollers, i use a bit of coconut oil and Giovanni Frizz serum and finger comb. Adds lots of shine and keeps the frizz away. I've tried using endpapers and didn't notice a change.... Pictures are in my siggy....

Did you get end papers and leave them in long enough to dry?

I bought these a few months ago and I did not really like it. Now that I think about it, I may not have let them dry enough before I took them out. :scratchch

I think the suggested time is around 20 mintues or so...makes a difference.

I have heard of people putting a little leave-in in the water. I do think the end papers would be a good idea because of the sponge...

I make sure I shake excess moisture off of the roller, before putting it in my hair. This helps them dry faster, and reduces frizz.

I use them all the time... on freshly relaxed hair and when stretching.

I love my Carusos. I'll roll my hair at night, double wrap it in a scarf, and comb it down in the morning. Smooth and full of body. The perfect doobie!

I can only leave mine in for about five minutes, because the curls are almost too tight! And that's using the largest rollers on my shoulder lenght hair.
I don't use end papers either.
It may have something to do with the fact that I have one of the older Caruso models, that has you put salt in the water...I've had it for almost ten years, and it's still working like a dream.

Hi Undefeated Queen,

Can you tell me what you mean by 'double wrap'?
TIA!

So because of the steam in the rollers, the foam doesn't dry out your hair? I would like to know bcuz I just got my set today(YAY:)) and I want to know if I absolutely need to get the end papers or not.

I always use ends papers because my ends look neater with them. I like to dab a little bit of surge lotion9 oil on the ends before I set my hair. My hair always come out a little shiner. I think the steam penatrates the oil. After I'm done I spray a little Proclaim Glossing Spray and fluff hair out. This works for my hair because its thick and dull with oil.

end papers make a world of a difference for my hair when using Caruso rollers. If I don't use the end papers, my ends could come out frizzy and bent, but if I do use the end papers, then my ends would come out crisp and neat.

I have to use end paper's else well. My hair just comes out better with them.

I LOVE CARUSOS!! I use them almost every day.

I like the Fuji papers from Sally's. They are thicker and nicer than ones I have tried in the past.

Oh okay, thanks guys. Do any of you do anything special with the end papers before you put it on the roller?

I don't. I just wrap it around the roller. Again, the thicker end papers have worked better for me.

I do this too. I want to buy more medium and large size rollers for when I do this, though.

I'm sorry for late response. I got the idea from KhandiB.Instead of wrapping your hair from right to left or vice versa, you'll comb the right side back as well as the left side and secure with a hair pin. She shows how to do it in her hair album.

Ditto. It is awkward at first using the end papers (at least for me!) but well worth it. I put a tiny bit of botanical oil on the ends before I roll em. I don't steam the covers because this makes my hair too wet, and I get good curls without doing that. I leave in for about 40 minutes.
