Which one do yall recommend?...the one that's on Sally's website has good reviews for use but just about all of them said that it broke on them within 1-6 months...also how long is the warranty on them?...thanks
I just bought mine yesterday. Sallys warranty is 60 days with a receipt. 1 year through manufacture. She offered me an additional year for $5.99 and I declined.
BTW....I used it yesterday and I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE the way my hair feels. I am about ready to retire my CHI flat iron, CONAIR IONIC Steam flat iron, and my curling iron. This did the same thing for me with NO damage from 350-400 degree heat appliances squeezing my hair between two plates.
I've had mine (from Sallys) for 2-3 years now and nothing has broken and they still work perfectly. I read that periodically you should use a vinegar/water mix in the steamer to clean it so that deposits don't build up and block the steam vents.
Actually the red and white setters that I bought from Sally's have broken for me after 5-6 months. I have gone through so many.
I have taken back several to Sally's for replacement because it broke within 90 days and they will take it back if you have your receipt. Either the steam is not as strong or it just stops all together. They do not come with a manufacturer warranty anymore.
I find that the old ones last longer. There is a Blue one and a Burgundy one. I have one of the blue one that I bought from ebay and it has lasted years and years.
They used to have warranties on them, but not anymore - unless they recently started again. They know those new ones since Helen of Troy took them over are poorly manufactured.
