It took me long enough to blow it out

And this is how it looked when it was done

LadyRaider.. no i flat ironed it.. if i would have been thinking, i wouldn't have though

so glad you posted this. i've been thinking about getting steam rollers or just plain old hot rollers for a while. so i have a question for you MsLizziA, you think you could've just air/dryed/blown dry your hair then used the rollers and gotten similar results. no flat iron needed sounds promising!

Gorgeous! I might need to bust out my carusos I've had them for over a year and have never used them on my natural hair, I'be actually only used them once and that was on my weave hair. And I didn't like the results so they have been in the closet collecting dust. But after your post i think I will try them on my real hair hopefully my results will be at least half as nice as yours. Thanks for posting!

wyldcurlz yes i do.. because i honestly was expecting my hair to revert since its steam...
steam = humidity.. but next time i will just skip the flat iron and just roll my hair with these

I use mine every morning before work. It doesn't damage my hair and it only takes 15 minutes to put in. I leave them in for 15 minutes and then I am out the door.

Just chiming in. I think steam rollers hold a curl much stronger than heat rollers or using a curling iron. My hair, relaxed or natural(I'm transitioning with about 3 inches of relaxed ends left), doesn't hold a curl well... Unless I use steam rollers. I guess they are less damaging than other methods of using heat on hair?

Hmmm, well first, you are cute& thx for sharing your results. Your hair looks very soft.
But I was wondering why the curls are not tighter, I guess?
I was interested in purchasing this after I saw MTM's set:

Do you think you could get tighter curls if you left it in longer or something?? Your hair looks nice, but it looks more just like a flat iron than a roller set- I'm dying for the curly curls!! Do you think the flat ironing made it less able to hold the curl? Just curious thx.

LivingDol1 Yes they are a much less damaging form of heat. If im correct they actually cause no damage at all

LongLeggedLife No i just think MTM set her hair different than i set mine. I did big rollers all over my head and went the traditional route ( rolling under). It looks like she did more of a spiral type set. And no i dont think the flat iron had anything to do with how the set came out and yes steam rollers have a much stronger hold than curling irons. no matteer that i did, those curls did not come out

You are such a cutie pie and your hair looks lovely! It's so thick and has a nice healthy sheen.

Funny you should post this thread, OP, I just used my rollers for maybe the third time and I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. I used end papers (which I've always HATED, but my ends are frizz-prone) and I rolled them kind of spirally (like MTM). It came out beautifully, way better than my previous tries. I had just gotten a TU but my hair didn't look flat or wimpy. The curls stayed all night which never happens. I wore them swept to one side. I would have taken a pic but I can't find the wire to upload them. :ohwell:

Does anyone have problems with their hair being dry after using them? I bought the caruso rollers and love them but the sponge wrapped around the rollers seem to dry my hair out. Any tips on how I can avoid this?
