What type of results are we talking about?mzcaramelicious07 said:I have read that people drink anywhere from 2 to 8 oz. I then read where the least that you need is 2, so that's what I've been doing and it is definitely working for me. I started at 4 and saw results and dropped down to 2 to see if it still worked and it did. So, I'll stick to 2 cuz I dont' like the taste and I mix it with 8 oz of OJ.

Although my hair is naturally thick, I've found carrot juice thickens it more. Many of the ladies loved the way their skin improved also. Here is one link on the Carrot Juice Challenge:

What a great testimonial, Phoenix!Phoenix said:I did the carrot juice thing last spring and had MAJOR results. I had braids, which I usually keep in for 3 months. When I was drinking the carrot juice my braids only lasted for 6 weeks before I had to have them taken out because they were too loose (from all the new growth). I wasn't really convinced that it was the carrot juice that was giving me these benefits, so I stopped drinking it...and sure enough my growth slowed down noticably. I recently started drinking it again. The only problem is that my husband LOVES the stuff and insists on guzzling it like water. That's pretty irritating since it's rather expensive (Odwalla brand).
WhipEffectz1 said:Yea, pretty much because most of it gets absorbed more better. I use the 1lb bag of REGULAR size carrots to get about 8ozs and the 2lb bag for 16oz, of the two the latter is what I juice daily. I was using baby carrots for about two days when I went to the book store and looked over some juicing books that said that baby carrots aren't suited for juicing because most of the time they are peeled and the nutrients have also been peeled away. Then, I got into conversation with some people in the aisle that juice and they said the same thing so I was glad that I only juiced with baby carrots for 1 day. The other bag I brought is still sitting in the fridge. The best way to go is organic so I am content with paying abotu thirty dollars a month for fresh carrots and not something that has been processed plus I've got used to juicing. I went and got me a juicer from WaL-Mart that costed about thirty dollars. This will due me until I am able to get a Jack DeLane one. Plus, it doesn't take that long for I can juice and do cleanup in ten minutes, at least now I can.
Finally, I do juicing for the overall health benefits. I've noticed my hair is thicker but can't really decide what exactly it might be because I take other supplements. My skin is clear and glowing even though I haven't been using any topical for it. My eyes are sharp as a knife in the dark. I don't feel like carrot juice has made me gained weight because I've been doing it since late December and I am still the same size. I usually juice before I go to bed which ends up holding off my late night cravings. HTH!

Looks like your husband is going to get great hair results too!![]()

kia said:I was juicing carrots, celery, parsely and spinach together for a week but I noticed that the my skin was looking kind of orangy. Is there anything I can do about that?
Kimberly said:Kia, I had the same problem when I was doing the carrot juice last year...basically the same recipe except I would throw a piece of apple in with mine. The only thing I found that helped was to drink less carrot juice. I'm about to start back, btw.
They should take your carrot juice back or exchange it.Champagne_Wishes said:I don't know how you ladies do it. I tried drinking some carrot juice from Bolthouse Farms brand and it taste like pure he!!. I hope I can return it or exchange it for something else.
Carrots are exceptionally high in betacarotene (parsley and spinach are high too) and it will detox your liver fast, which I've learned it the cause of the oranginess. That means you are drinking too much of it at one time. It won't hurt you drinking that much but if you don't want the orange tint, reduce the amount of carrots in your juice. I've learned that two ounces of carrot juice daily is enough for great results, which can come from one large carrot.kia said:I was juicing carrots, celery, parsely and spinach together for a week but I noticed that the my skin was looking kind of orangy. Jewell said:I noticed today that Wal-mart sells the Bolthouse Farms 100% Carrot Juice, but after reading the ingredients, I knew I wouldn't like it because it had no other flavors or sugar! I bought V8 Splash (they have different flavors). The ingredients are water, carrot juice (its from concentrate though), etc. The order of ingredients is from most to least (mostly water, then carrot juice, etc). This is true of products and foods. I love V8 Splash...if it doesn't work for me as far as accelerated hair growth/thickness, then I'll muster up the courageto get the juice by Bolthouse!
