Carol\'s Daughter Products ...

Has any tried these products ? Which do most of you perfer ? How do you purchase these products ? Most important how does it make your hair feel ?

Re: Carol\'s Daughter Products ...

I use CD Healthy Hair Butter everytime I wash. I use it to moisturize my new growth by putting some in the palm of my hand and rubbing my hands together - then rubbing through my hair concentrating on my new growth. This keeps my new growth moisturized and very soft.

I use CD Mimosa Hair Honey a couple of times a week just as a shiner and for the smell. I just rub some in my hands and rub on my hair as a finisher. This makes my hair shine.

I also use CD Hair Milk once in a while to moisturize my hair before going to bed.

I've always purchased at the website.

Hairlove: Can you share your experience with the CD hair milk. What type of feel does it leave in hair, does it weigh your hair down?

Re: Carol\'s Daughter Products ...

Hairlove, I want to try those products you metioned since your relaxed. I always thought they were for natural hair.

I also want to try the Rosemary Mint Shampoo.

I wish we were in a fantasy world (no offense Bettle

Re: Carol\'s Daughter Products ...

I think most people have the best luck from either the Healthy Hair Butter, Mimosa Hair Honey, or Hair Milk. At least that's what I've gleaned from reading the hair boards. I never used her products when I was relaxed, but I use the HHB (Healthy Hair Butter) faithfully since being natural. I've tried other products but not found anything that keeps my hair moisturized from root to end like HHB. I was dissapointed with her shampoos as they left my hair feeling really stripped and straw-like. The Milk was like a diluted HHB, not really effective and mostly greasy for me. The Mimosa Hair Honey doesn't really do anything but make my hair shine and smell fantastic, which is worth the cost. But I have to use another product to hold in moisture. Marguerites Magic works much like the HHB except it doesn't have the herbal smell and it's a bit lighter. That might be better if you are relaxed and like to have a bouncy hair effect. I find that her products work best on soaking wet hair NOT on dry hair.

Mindy - I am 7 months into transitioning so it works nicely on my new growth when my hair is wet or damp.

Re: Carol\'s Daughter Products ...

Thanks...for everyone's comment on these products. But, I have another question. These products seems to work well on 3b/3c hair but does anyone know how it works on 4a or 4b hair ?

Re: Carol\'s Daughter Products ...

For those who've ordered these products, how long does it usually take to arrive? I chose the fed ex 10-15 days

Re: Carol\'s Daughter Products ...

I know this is a new product, but I was wondering if anyone's used it before: Tui Shea Butter Hair Smoothie

Here's the description/ingredients:
At long last, Carol's Daughter has a wonderful conditioner for hair. With this one, I start out with a super-rich emulsion made from shea butter, cocoa butter and jojoba oil, artfully blended with and infusion of chamomile, marigolds, lavender and oh-so-good-for-the-hair…seaweed.

Ingredients: water, corn, soy, sweet almond, jojoba, & wheat germ oils, vegetable emulsifying wax, shea & cocoa butters, infusions of chamomile, marigolds and lavender, kelp, sea moss, Vitamin C and Tui fragrance oil. Use within 6 months of purchase. Made with lots of love.

TIA

Re: Carol\'s Daughter Products ...

I just started using the Healthy Hair Butter and the Mimosa har honey. I really haven't found anything that makes my relaxed hair feel so nice. Well not in a while anyway. The Mimosa hair honey just makes my hair shiny and smell good. I use it on my baby hairs around the edges I recommend the Hair butter for you it's good

Re: Carol\'s Daughter Products ...

Here is the regime I used last nite with CD products.

Conditioner washed my hair with V05 Kiwi Clarifing conditioner. Monisturized with Aussie Moist
(YES!!!

I am in LLOOVVEE with this stuff.)
Next, I use Suave Humectant and detangle with Biolage.
Next, I applied CD Shea Butter Hair Smoothie and put on a heating cap and left it in for 30 minutes ( bad hair damage IS what I definitely have here). I rinsed throuoghly and then applied CD Hair Milk on soaking wet hair. Then applied the CD Mimosa Hair Honey. My hair felt revitized. For me I think I would use it as a treat/gift for me hair. Maybe I will use it bi-weekly. I really do like it!!!. I am curious about the results others have had with these items....Please share....
