My inbox has been bombarded with emails from CD. I wanna try something, just one or two things that you ladies can recommend. Either hair or body products are also fine. I wanna know what are the top two and why do you love them?
Thanks!:drunk:

I would recommend Hair Milk. It gives a lot of moisture and I use it regularly for wash n go's.

ETA-I see you are in Japan, I love Japanese culture and food. How do you like living there? I am actually taking my niece to a Japanese Festival this weekend...she is half Japanese. I think I am more excited than she is, lol.

The hair balm is wonderful, it's heavy so you don't need much, I tend to use it on my edges, spritz edges with water and s-curl, then seal with the hair balm. It smells yummy too.

I also like the khoret amen hair oil, it is very healing for the scalp:yep:, a little goes a long way, the smell is strong but it doesn't bother me.

Hands down:

1) Almond Cookie Shea Souffle (and this from one who makes creams and lotions, yup)

2) Mimosa Hair Honey, I love the texture, smell, and presentation. She adds a cowry shell (something I picked up from her; packaging is serious, IMHO; at least with my soapmaking & such)

I agree with the above and also add Healthy Hair Butter to the list.

Can't go wrong either of these three.

Body - Almond Cookie Body Oil

Hair - Lisa's Hair Elixir (a hair oil)

ITA!:yep::yep:

My two CD staples are the Healthy Hair Butter and Mimosa Hair Honey - I been using them for YEARS. I use HHB when I am drying - makes my hair smell good and SUPER soft on the new growth. I use Mimosa Hair Honey when I flat iron - doesn't leave my hair hard or anything.

I also like Lisa's Hair Balm and the TUI Oil... (I wouldn't rec buying Tui, because the ingredients are the SAME as Profective's Oil) I didn't like the Hair Milk - I actually poured it down the sink!

I agree Mimosa Hair Honey, & Lisa's Hair Elixir are the ONLY 2 items I like so far in the haircare line. The Hair Milk seemed to moisturize at first and I loved the tingly feeling on the scalp , but in the end it dried my hair out more. The same was true for the Rosemary shampoo, it left my hair a tangled mess!! I know all about not having harsh detergents , so it didn't lather very much , on top of it leaving my hair kinda hard, it didn't even seem clean :nono: The Hair Smoothie was just OK nothing special, I feel like I've had better results with cheaper products. Don't get me wrong I'm a natural freak , I looooove herbal remedies , aromatherapy, etc. So I couldn't wait to try these products!!! I had received about $115.00 in CD's products for free , and I must say once it's used up I won't be buying more. :ohwell: HTH

i love the hair balm. it is very moisturizing and smells great.
i also use the hair milk when i do wash and gos. it makes my hair very soft and i noticed my curls really pop when i use it.

for body i love the sweethoneydipchocolatebrownsugar scrub and butter.
i also love all things almond cookie.

eta: i also like the SMM. i only put it on my scalp and it helped thicken my hair.

I have extremely dry skin and her products are the only ones that keep me moisturized throughout the day. So I would recommend any of her sea salt body scrubs, body oils, and body butters.

I have products for hair from her too but just started using it consistently about a week ago so the jury is still out on that one.

I recommend the Healthy Hair Butter and Mimosa Hair Honey..They both did wonders on my toddlers hair that was very dry and thick..Using these helped define her texture..I have purchased the shampoos, the Tui Oil,Lisa's Hair Elixir, Hair Balm and Hair Milk, they are nothing to brag about I wasted my money but being they cost so much I will use them.

oh yea, i forgot i have the rosemary shampoo -- it's just OK. It tingles, but it also TANGLES and it is supposedly "detangling" :wallbash: so, take it for what it is - i won't be buying it again.

Thanks so much for the advice ladies!

Are there any skin care products from CD that you like and want to recommend? Bath products?

BTW, Japan is great! It's really safe, no guns or terrorism and very clean. But everything's expensive and small. Houses, clothes, food--it's all about 1/4 or maybe 1/2 the size of what's in the States. Men are yummy and kids are adorable! Humm...what else? PM if you want to know more or check out my blog in my signature!:spinning:

The skin products recommended above. I don't like the product packaging because it isn't convenient when I travel but I need the stuff to stay moisturized and not dry, dry, dry.

I recommend the healthy hair butter. It moisturizes my hair, but doesn't weigh it down. She got the formula right on that one.

Yes, she did. Hair doesn't feel greasy and isn't weighed down. I wish there were butter pomades like this, but alas (sigh), there isn't.

The Face Butter is the bomb. that's the only skin product I buy from CD - I'm a clinique girl mostly...

yeah I bought most of the hair products that she offered. To me most of the stuff did not smell very inviting and most of them did not work. I bought all of the conditioners/mask and they all matted my hair up.

The only items i like are the almond cookie lotion and bath oil. that stuff smells so good.

Hair products: the hair milk is the only item i've purchased more than once. I also liked the mimosa honey stuff. the healthy hair butter was ok. a little heavy for my liking.

I've never tried any and won't. CD products get pretty bad reviews here and a few other hair sites that I've visited. From what I understand, they started out as great natural products, but overtime became commercialized and filled with cheap ingredients that did nothing for most persons hair.

Really? wow. I was looking forward to trying the healthy hair butter.

Healthy Hair Butter

I love a lot of different natural hair care lines (Oyin, Qhemet (my favorite), however this yields the BEST two strand twists for me.
Other products I have of hers and like is the Hair Milk (use mainly on my 3 yr old daughter's hair), Hair Balm (just purchased recently and really like), Rosemary Shampoo, Hair Elixir oil, Mimosa Honey, Tui oil (ok, wouldn't buy again as I have better oils, but smells great).

i love the hair balm and the hair milk. i use the hair milk on wash and gos and the hair balm only in the winter as it is heavy.
