.... you might end up a little ripe. :lachen:

Tonight is amla rinse night but instead of my usual, I decide to make enough to do 3 or 4 rinses; one after each wash. So I add my usual amla and brahmi infusion (which is a little stinky anyway) to the empty bottle I keep in the shower. To that I add 10-15 drops of rosemary oil (to keep it from growing nasties), about a tablespoon of neem oil, and shake it up. I'm not a rosemary oil fan but when I was done it didn't smell that bad... in the bottle.

Well, I'm sitting here after 3 shampoos (full-strength), 2 ACV rinses, and a boat load of my best smelling leave-in conditioner and my kinky twists still smell like VOMIT. I kid you not :barf:. Hubby's already giving me funny looks.:lachen:

I guess I'll try washing it again tomorrow.:ohwell:

yikes! hope the wash tomorrow takes the smell away! I love making new concoctions - thanks for the heads up!

It may not be your concoctions. It may be the hair if it is new. Extensions always stink to me until after several washes. I am a 3 times a week washer so I usually get past that stench quickly.

i dont know why but amla oil makes me feel sick:eek: both times i tryed it felt like i wanted to bring up all my food so i gave it up the smell of it:confused:

Re: Careful with your concotions ladies you might end up alone

It still stank this morning. It actually smelled worse. I guess my body heat warmed it. Mental note: Don't warm anything that smells like vomit. :ohwell:

I decided to soak it in the bath. I filled the tub got in and laid back. I ended up shampooing 3 more times and doing a baking soda rinse. That still didn't kill ALL the smell. I right now I'm doing a hot oil treatment (my hair's kinda stripped from all the poo'g) w/ my most pleasant smelling oil -- virgin coconut oil.

It was funny last night, but I have to be at church in an hour. I'm actually getting kinda worried now. I might have to take them down a few weeks early. I'm not walking around w/ coconut-vomit hair.

Ewww...:perplexed

Maybe one of the oils went bad? That's all I can think of. Rosemary oil doesn't make my concoctions smell like vomit.

Good luck getting the smell out.

Oh no! That sounds bad!
I don't know what to suggest.
I was thinking a bicarbonate of soda claifying rinse, but I'm not sure with twists, you might not be able to rinse it all out properly :perplexed

If it's sunny where you are, maybe sit out in the sun for a bit and hope the sun will evaporate the smells away....
Do they make Febreeze for hair...?
